Program Specifics

Baby Signs will be used during your child’s day. You will receive a handbook of baby signs to help you and your toddler.


Toddler Flow of Your Child’s Day
 

7:00 to 8:30

Children arrive during the morning, as teachers greet each child and accompanying adult and facilitate separation issues. Children wash their hands on arrival.  Breakfast is also served during this time.  Children will engage in quiet play activities.
 

8:30 to 9:45

Washroom/Diapering
Getting ready for outdoor play
Outdoor play
 

9:45 to 11:45

Come in from outdoor play
Wash our hands
Washroom/Diapers
Morning group time (story/songs)
Morning Refreshment (water/fruit)
Project work and access to all of the classroom materials/art experiences/sensory experiences.
The educators observe, document the children’s work, facilitate and encourages as needed.
Clean up-everyone helps

What does your child need on the first day of school in our toddler room?

Indoor shoes (slippers are fine but must have a rubber sole)
Outdoor shoes
Blanket for sleep time/doll or stuffed animal
Labeled Extra clothes for accidents
Extra underwear if in training
Backpack to carry all of the items
Diapers and wipes
A family photo for your child's cubby
