School Age Program

30 children to two Early Childhood Educators

Program Specifics

Community projects: the children will decide on their own community projects (the local Food Bank) and create fundraising plans to achieve their goals.

We will have a quiet homework area for your child.

Children will also have the opportunity to play and visit with our younger children. This encourages empathy in children of all ages. Empathy is part of our anti bullying project.
The Virtues project will be part of the day-to-day activities of our school age program.

On PA days there will be trips and special visitors into the centre. The children will also have an opportunity to help with the operations of the school-help the cook, help out in the office and help with our younger children. Lunch and snacks are provided on PA days.

Flow of the Day:  School Age Program
 

7:00 to 8:00	Breakfast, quiet activities, homework help, research projects
8:00 to 8:30	Prepare for school/washroom/finish breakfast
8:30 to 8:45	Cloakroom/get ready for school
8:45 to 9:00	Walk to school/walk the children to their appropriate doors/wait with the kindergarten children
3:30 to 3:45	Pickup children from school/walk to centre
3:45 to 4:00	Afternoon snack/meeting time
4:00 to 5:00	Afternoon projects
5:00 to 6:00	Assist with tidy up of the centre/specific jobs (help in the toddler room, etc.)
